For 50 years we have produced pollen source material and developed optimal production methods.

We have a unique competence in terms of being able to handle large volumes of source materials from all over the world. Our range is exceptional in terms of number of species and quality for all types of grasses, shrubs, trees and weeds.

Following controlled sowing and cultivation, Allergon collects the plant materials at the exact time to obtain a high content of mature pollen grains and an optimal yield. The majority of the plants we grow are cultivated on our own land. This means meticulous control from cultivation to the finished product, and enables us to develop a product that complies with specification.

Our long experience has given us a very comprehensive global database of pollens and pollen producing plants. Allergon’s knowledge extends from the pollens’ natural growth processes, optimum harvesting time and technique, to our own production and laboratory development. Knowledge about how collection is carried out in the field and how to handle the material immediately upon collection is particularly important for the quality of the product.

The huge amount of information we have amassed over the years is used to ensure reproducibility, and is continuously updated to increase our competence.

After collection the material passes through controlled and verified purification processes. Allergon has several different sieving techniques to obtain the required purity. Special equipped production premises ensure that the subsequent processing is carried out efficiently according to our protocols.

Our allergen pollen material is controlled to assure a high level of purity and quality. The analyses we perform are specified clearly on the Certificate of Analysis that accompanies each delivered batch.
